Curriculum IMC – Basic Instructor Course

Learn to fight with 5 main Infantry Melee weapons: The spade, combat knife, rifle/bayonet, Mace and the partisans.

📝We would like to offer you the opportunity to become a basic instructor in the Recon “Infantry Melee weapon Combatives” method for close combat purposes. This course features a basic and compact curriculum and is the first one we offer to new participants. We also have an advanced instructor course available.

This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to teach others how to use the FIVE different infantry melee weapons in various situations. Whether you are an experienced or just starting out, this course will provide you with the tools to become a confident and effective basic IMC instructor.

🎯 Throughout the course, you will learn about the principles of close combat, including technical and tactical tools, fighting in different scenarios and against various weapons (including asymmetrical weapon fighting), and developing a combat mindset for real combat. You will also explore different didactic techniques and strategies to teach students in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to teach the beautiful “art” of Infantry Melee Weapon Fighting to others.

You can then share the purest form of combat with people, helping them enhance their ability to defend themselves and others physically in various scenarios, and be mentally prepared when necessary.

The skills gained in this course will enable you to be an effective IMC instructor, whether you are teaching in a private military and security company, a community center for self-defense, a martial arts school, or any other setting.

Our curriculum is based on the most effective and practical techniques/tactics from Historical European Martial Arts treatises, modified to meet today’s self-protection needs and what is currently taught in many infantry groups. Your head instructor is a former red beret and military instructor, so you receive your information firsthand.
